The art of tracking is a dying skill that has far-reaching implications for nature conservation. The mission of Wildlife 3D Tracking (W3DT) is to revive the ancestral art of tracking using current technologies for the benefit of nature and traditional trackers.

The goals of this project are the creation of eTrack, an online application linking indigenous knowledge, citizen science and Artificial Intelligence (AI), the support to San trackers who want to start their own tracking school in the Kalahari Desert, and more in-depth research on cheetah tracks – including gait analysis with a drone.
