Conservation of Wildlife through Conservation Education in South Mizoram, India

This project promotes conservation education in Saiha (Mizoram) focussing on Hoolock gibbons.

The efforts in the project focus on conservation education and awareness. Activities are being undertaken at 3 strategic locations in Saiha of the district headquarters, Tuipang and Phura towards augmenting awareness of school going students.

In the course of project efforts are made to design actions that are relevant to the needs of the region and sensitive towards local cultural values. Extensive process documentation is undertaken towards sharing of the efforts within the state as also sharing of experience and learning with partner organizations.
