Coral reefs are severely threatened ecosystems and have been dramatically reduced recently with up to 50% could be lost in the next decades. Reef zoning in a major strategy for coral reefs conservation and following our previous RSG projects our purpose to measure zoning effectiveness inside the MPA. We will also promote local community and general public information on existing zoning areas and if there are being effective or respected. By using a combination of scientific diving, workshops and environmental awareness our project will increase ecological data on zoning effectivity and local engagement on zoning regulations and conservation aspects.
