This project will generate comprehensive and updated data on seabird and shorebird populations in the Rocas de Constitución Nature Sanctuary and the Urban Wetland Desembocadura del rio Maule - two ecologically valuable but poorly studied sites where the absence of reliable information hinders effective management.

Through citizen science, we will train local residents in bird identification, monitoring, and threat detection, while engaging schools and municipal authorities. The data collected will inform conservation and management strategies, enhance environmental education, and promote birdwatching as a sustainable economic opportunity. By linking science, governance, and community action, the project fosters long-term local stewardship and resilience.
