The goal of this project is to create a positive picture for the wolf as the premise for the implementation of pro-active conservation measures.
Wolf track.
The project's objectives are:
- the estimation of the real number of wolves in Vrancea region, eastern part of Romanian Carpathians
- the assessment of the impact of wolf population upon livestock
- the elaboration of a local action plan for the protection of the species
- raising the local population awareness on the species' role in the ecosystems
