The Conservation of Endangered Hornbills in Kenyir Malaysia I

From the previous grant, we identified and worked with four hornbill guardians to help monitor the nests of endangered hornbills.

Hence, we seek to continue to support and encourage their presence in the forests so they may conduct more observations on hornbills and hornbills are less likely to be poached. We were also challenged by the pandemic and could not have large gatherings of people. We seek to introduce artificial nest boxes and carry out the PRIDE campaign in a local village in Terengganu. We will also be growing hornbill preferred food plants from seeds collected from under hornbill nests.
