Integrated Wetland Biodiversity and Health Monitoring With Community-Led Butterfly, Amphibian, and Avian Surveys, Addressing Anthropogenic Pressures

Our project aims to investigate the vegetation structure and tree species preferences of the remaining breeding pairs of critically endangered vultures in the Hadejia Nguru Wetland Complex located in North-east Nigeria. We plan to replicate this vegetation by planting the same tree species within the wetland complex and closely monitoring the breeding pairs to ensure their success.

Furthermore, we will conduct conservation education and awareness campaigns in the neighbouring communities to encourage their involvement in the conservation of the vulture species and report sightings to extend conservation measures.
