The project aims to implement the management plan for the two aquatic protected areas in the Iasi county, Romania

The project aims to implement the management plan for the two aquatic protected areas in the Iasi county, Romania. The Ecological Society AquaTerra obtained the official custody of this protected areas, being responsible for drawing and implementing the Management Plan.

The main objectives of the Management Plan are:

1. Improvement of the conservation status of the protected area

- Education and involvement of the local people in the conservation activities

- Organise local information points for the public (in order to present them the values protected in the area)

2. Captive breeding and propagation for an endangered fish species

- Keeping the adult fish specimens

- Prepare them and ensuring conditions for breeding

3. Capacity building for the Ecological Society AquaTerra

- Purchasing equipment

- Extend collaboration, recruit more volunteers
