The previous phases of the Conservation of Blakc Inca Hummingbird and Apolinar’s Wrens and Turquoise Dacnis-Tanager in Tena has seen the initiation of a long term conservation program on Birds and building local skills of local stakeholders for conservation.

Building on the progress of its predecessors, the proposed project aims to increase community involvement in conserving the oak forest and endangered birds and its habitat. We propose to increase involvement of stakeholders in information and education drives, establishing a wildlife sanctuary, reforestation trainings and Birds population monitoring surveys.
