We will describe the open habitats, to investigate the habitat use of farmland birds, and to present the advantages for biodiversity of agri-environmental management.

This project will bring reference data and will formulate habitat conservation measures regarding the species diversity, ecology and situation of farmland birds from Southern Transylvania. The data gathered will be used in formulating the management plan of the newly proposed Laslea Natural Park (V IUCN), which represents 28,08 % of the study area.

The conservation and education components will result in increased awareness regarding the Agri-environment management at local level, helping its implementation in this area. This will increase the options for traditional agricultural practices, which is of major importance for the conservation of farmland birds and their habitats.
