The team is working to create a collection of rare, endemic species of plants of the dry subtropical ecosystem of Armenia.

The overall aim of our work is to create a collection of rare, endemic species of plants and two endangered species of birds of the dry subtropical ecosystem of Armenia for their conservation and breeding ex situ and further re introduction to the native habitat.

We hope to also draw the attention of the local population to the environmental problems of the region by broadcasting a film about the biodiversity of dry subtropical ecosystem of Meghri, and through the use of popular printed materials and exposition of the plants and birds at the Centre for Biodiversity Conservation of Armenia.
