To Promote the Conservation of the Hooded Vulture in North-Central Nigeria

Our project will focus on conducting a community-based conservation education to conserve the breeding population of the critically endangered Hooded vulture in two communities of Kpokap in Zanga local government area of Kaduna state and Emi abu woro community of Kogi state, both in North central Nigeria.

We will attempt to understand the perception of the locals in the community on the ecological role of vultures in their communities and educate them on practical conservation efforts they could engage like planting favourable tree species, and also report sightings of vultures within their communities.
