The Iris Project is Launched

The Iris Project is Launched image

The Rufford Foundation is acting as a supporter of The Iris Project that has launched an annual global award for 14-24 year olds who are protecting and restoring nature as a core solution to the climate crisis. Nominations are open for three months, with winners decided by a judging panel of environmental practitioners and advocates. Each year, an ‘Iris Prize’ will be awarded to three outstanding groups or individuals who best embody the spirit of the Iris Project. Grants will be awarded in conjunction with mentorship and individually-tailored capacity building, facilitated by the Iris Project Youth Advisory Panel. Nature restoration takes a variety of forms - from traditional land stewardship, to innovative technological solutions. As such, the Iris Project will reward new ideas and established projects, hoping to overcome the circumstantial barriers that too often prevent young people from being able to advocate for nature-related change.
