Hosted by the NGO BEDD: Biodiversity-Environment-Sustainable-Development and held at the Institute of Agricultural Research for Development (IRAD) in Yaoundé, Cameroon, this event was designed to strengthen the technical and professional capacity of Rufford grantees built around four core pillars: strengthening project design and proposal writing skills, enhancing fundraising and budgeting capacity, promoting collaboration and networking among Rufford alumni, and supporting locally relevant conservation solutions. The event brought together a diverse group of 23 participants from a wide range of scientific backgrounds, regions, cultures, and linguistic groups, ensuring rich exchanges and multidisciplinary perspectives.
