Here we report on the first Rufford Foundation Learning Event (RFLE-Brazil 2023) held in Brazil
between the 14th and 17th of April 2023 in Olho D’Água do Casado in Alagoas, Northeast Brazil.
The event was sponsored by the Rufford Foundation and local support for its organisation was
received from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco and Instituto SOS Caatinga. The
conference was not open to the public but rather focused on providing capacity building for former and current Rufford Foundation grantees.
