Mirza Dikari received 2nd RSG grant for the continuation of this project in 2003. This environmental education program to enhance frog conservation awareness was launched last year with funds from a Rufford Small Grant. This year’s program aims to expand the project by involving more schools. It will focus on on-site frog studies for high school students and general outreach program for primary schools.
The goals of the program are to increase the awareness of frog conservation among the general public and school through the release of printed media. The team will hold a frog fun day to empower high school students with science and natural conservation activities in relation to frog studies and to increase High School teacher knowledge on frog conservation issues. This program is expected to involve more than 100 students from primary to high school age.
