This project aims to continue raising public awareness on the importance of the natural forest of Bururi. An open Door week will be organized for communities in which policy makers will be invited. Local radio will produce emissions debate on this forest to raise the awareness of each other. An advocacy is made for the Pygmies landless installed on the rocks at the edge of the forest to acquire farmland and stop destroying the forest. A management plan for the forest dedicated to good governance will be initiated.

The administration and donors are supporting the conservation of this forest. The various plant and animal species and their habitat will be sustained.

The natural resources of this forest are preserved and living conditions of Batwa have improved due to land acquisition.

Governance of this forest reserve is improved. The wardens of this forest are now supported in their noble task of preserving the biological resources of this island of natural forest.
