This project include next steps:
Field research during which will be collected bryophyte from Cijevna River. Moss will be collected in four season, in order to collect moss in every part of life cycle (sporophyte and gametophyte). Moss will be collected by different tip of supstrat: rocks, ground, walls, trees, and sand, from the water and around water. During field research will be evaluated endangered habitats for moss. For the assessment of endangered moss habitats will be used IUCN categorization of the risk factors (IUCN 1994). Material will be packet in the paper bags and stored in herbarium collection at University of Montenegro (TGU).
After collecting material will be determined in laboratory with use lens, microscope and determination key books.
Data obtained during field-research part of project will be published in national and international journals.
Promotion on project will included: Creation information board (table); and their installation at place with the richest moss diversity. The table will create on three language Montenegrin; Albanian; English. Also every information table will be adapted for blind people, which means they include text on Braille letter. Creating an exhibition on First Lego League of Montenegro (the biggest science promotion show in Montenegro) which have a theme “Hydro dynamics”. On which will present the value of moss for river, special for Cijevna River. Lectures in primary, secondary schools as well as the university. All school and university after lecture will get the promotion materials which in future could be used in education purpose like posters, flyers, brochures, pencils with logo of projects. All material will be adapted for blind student printed at Braille letter. Will be created on new moss box at botanical garden Kolašin in Montenegro, which will include species for Cijevna River. On this way this species will be protected also on and ex situ. With local population of people will be organized workshops, about importance this river and moss for this area.
Result of this research in future could be used in proclamation of Cijevna River for IPA area.
