I plan to train local personnel of ANGAP (Association Nationale pour la Gestion des Aires Protégées, manager of Malagasy National Park) for a long-term wetland bird monitoring as a contribution to long lasting wetland conservation for the Parks. This training will include a wetland bird survey, a ringing of certain wetland birds, an estimation of population density and distribution over time.

We will set up several counting areas, which will be used as basis for a long-term wetland bird monitoring used by the ANGAP personnel. We will also study breeding ecology of some key species. We will promote further public awareness for the visitors of the Park, local people, and hotels managers around.
