Enhancing Community Participation in Lake Nakuru catchment Environmental Conservation: A case of River Njoro Watershed

The project aims to empower local communities in River Njoro watershed through education and mobilization towards proper management and conservation of environmental resources. It will enhance the individual and collective understanding of environmental issues affecting the watershed and its residents, and promote positive participation in conservation at the community level by overcoming ethnic influences that have hindered their role in environmental conservation.

Conservation Education and Awareness in the Kuno Landscape, Madhya Pradesh, India

My project is aimed at enhancing children’s sensitivity towards environment and biodiversity through specially designed environment education package developed for them. It will be implemented through the 200 children of the Adharshila Middle School at my project village.

The project’s primary aim is to improve the environment, livelihood and health of communities’ surrounding the (Togo Plateau Tropical Ranges) zone of Ghana through the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources including medicinal plants. The global environment objective is to identify, monitor and conserve key components of the biodiversity of the (Togo Plateau Tropical Ranges) zone.

Using conservation education as a tool to increase public awareness and change behaviour for the conservation of lowland gorilla populations in the Itombwe Natural Reserve.

The project aims at protecting the lowland gorilla and its habitat by bringing changes in community attitude and behaviours through education and public awareness raising programmes.

Wildlife Conservation Education and Awareness in the Baghmara Balpakram Landscape, South Garo Hills District, Meghalaya, India

The project will work with schools in Baghmara town, focusing on wildlife in the Garo Hills, particularly flagship species like the Asian elephant. The project will undertake Conservation Education & Awareness Programme intensively only with the selected classes of students in schools in Baghmara town.
