Introducing the Islamic Hima and Harim System for New Approach to Nature Conservation in Indonesia

This project aims to promote nature conservation and environmental issues trough out a religious (Islamic) teachings, as well as increasing communities awareness at the surrounding protected areas to contribute to the conservation activities based on their belief.

Support and strengthen established herder’s communities.

During implementation of the first RSG project it was clearly evident that the water supply for both domestic and wild life is the most essential and priority issue for the area. The problem requires urgent solution and we plan to repair and equip at least one hand operating well for livestock, restore and rehabilitate open spring water for wildlife in the community managed area.

This project aims to raise awareness on functions and dynamics of Wetlands and motivate communities integrate conservation in their day to day life.

Persian leopard Conservation in Bamu National Park-Iran

The overall goal of the project is to launch the leopard conservation action in Bamu National Park. It includes compilation of baseline ecological data, involvement of local communities in conservation and establishment of local trust for leopard preservation. One of the main objectives will be decline in poaching of leopard and its prey by diverting illegal financial benefits to sustainable nature-based income.

Conservation of Indian Gazelle or Chinkara through community support in Thar Desert of Rajasthan, India.

The present study aims to conserve remaining populations of Indian Gazelle or Chinkara, through community participation, conservation action plan, advocacy to establish Community Reserve through engagement of villagers for a long-term conservation.
