The project is a conservation campaign for the vulnerable “swanka” turtle, on San Andres Island, Colombia. It is directed at islanders, especially children in public schools.  The objective is to show biological characteristics of the turtle, a threatened species in Colombia, its importance to the island and the threats it faces. The aim is to create a consciousness in the islanders about their natural resources and the importance of their conservation. This would lead to an improvement in the attitudes of people towards natural resources and generate active persons capable of managing the turtle´s habitats in the island, which is a Biosphere Reserve.  You can email the team at forecroc@hotmail.com
