The project is located in the conservation area Quebrada del Yerbal in the high watershed of Rocha´s Lagoon. It focuses on richness estimation of the medium and large mammal’s population and their conservation state.

This proposal also chases the strengthening of environmental education involving the local communities.

The project is located in the conservation area Quebrada del Yerbal in the high watershed of Rocha´s Lagoon. With a surface of 400 hectares, Quebrada del Yerbal is part of a landscape that alternates hilly woodlands, riverside woodlands, wetlands and grasslands. The proposal try to reverse the ecosystem quality losses has happened by the introduction of exotic species, the hunting and the woodland burning in the last few years.
