In 2010/11, The Rufford Foundation provided a grant of £10,000 to ECPAT UK.

ECPAT stands for End Child Prostitution, Pornography and Trafficking. The Rufford Foundation grant supports ECPAT UK’s work advocating on behalf of children who have been trafficked for sexual and other forms of exploitation. This involves meeting with Members of Parliament and Peers, providing background information and producing detailed reports on topics such as children trafficked for cannabis cultivation.

Through these means, ECPAT UK enables MPs and Peers to become conduits through which government is kept up to date with all issues relating to trafficking. In addition, we ask MPs to table questions in Parliament which remind government of the urgency of our concerns and their responsibilities with regard to safeguarding children.
